
Brad Suddarth
Executive Vice President & CFO
Mr. Suddarth is Executive Vice President & CFO of Kraken Resources. He has more than 25 years of energy industry experience with a focus on finance and accounting, asset valuation, acquisitions and divestitures, production forecasting, reserve estimation, as well as reservoir and petrophysical engineering.
Before forming Kraken, Mr. Suddarth was Vice President & CFO of Ursa Resources Group LLC where he managed the company’s finance and accounting, commercial analysis, and A&D functions. Ursa leased 120,000 acres in the Bakken Shale play, drilled five wells and participated in multiple non-operated wells before selling its entire Bakken position in 2011. Mr. Suddarth previously worked at Legend Natural Gas working in the company’s A&D group where he evaluated dozens of potential property acquisitions throughout the onshore U.S., closing two major acquisitions in South Texas and the Permian Basin. Mr. Suddarth also has six years of experience with Shell E&P as Senior Petroleum Engineer and was Subsurface Team Leader for a group managing the acquisition and transition of a major South Texas producing assets. In addition, Mr. Suddarth has four years of energy finance experience having served as Associate Energy Equity Analyst for the investment bank of Friedman Billings Ramsey, and as an Energy Equities Trader for energy trading firm Mirant Corp.
Mr. Suddarth earned a B.S. Geological Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and an M.B.A. from Tulane University.
